Despite her fairytale wish which might have sprung from the idyllic mind of a much younger girl, May is grounded, cynical, focused and quite aware that the world is completely fucked up and full of shitheads. But when a star spins out of the sky and tells you in as many words that you can have anything, anything you ask for, you don't ask for money or power or anything you can get for yourself. You go straight to the impossible, the unimaginable, the daydream chased after by the naive. You wish for a happy ending. For everyone.

May is focused and practical, for the most part, although she's not totally above indulgence. She comes off as somewhat jaded and cynical--it's not that she doesn't want good things; it's not that she refuses to recognise good things when they come her way; it's just that she knows the world's going to hell in an overpriced handbag and she'd much rather be pleasantly surprised than crushingly disappointed.

She's very honest. She will lie when the occasion calls for it, but she tries to be honest even then--she'll never try to cover up a lie through wordplay or loophole, and openly scorns those who do.

She keeps her head and always tries to approach situations with as much rationality as she can, but she won't disdain of emotional people. She tends to view things in black and white even though she knows there are countless shades spanning countless scales.

She's a bit grumpy and will sometimes bite before she barks, but she's patient when she knows it'll pay off and fiercely loyal to those she loves. She forgives with no resistance but refuses to forget.

She's here to get the job done, and probably won't stop til she does.

She loves her older sister April more than any other person in the world and the surest way to get on her bad side is to threaten, hurt or intentionally offend April in any way. Even her wish is more for April, who has been secretly in love with another girl for the past two years, than anything else.

She has a dog, a german shepherd-cross-kelpie named Jasmine, who she goes jogging with every day. She also plays tennis casually, Thursdays at the courts down her street, so she's quite fit physically.

She was born with perfect pitch but has no particular interest in creating music; her younger sister June, a violinist, gives her no end of grief for this fact.

She spends more time than she thinks she should angrily debating social issues on tumblr. One side effect of this is that she's stopped hesitating before cussing out random assholes on the street.

She'll probably be either a cop or the Prime Minister when she grows up. Maybe both.
