Tokka Week: Together

<sup>He gently tilted her head up to capture her lips in a heated kiss; her heart drummed in her chest as she deepened it, her arms snaking around his neck; her soul soared, secure in the knowledge that they would be together for ever and ever and--

"Okay, cut that out," snapped Toph, "and tell it like it is, you ditz."

"The fourth wall," I said in annoyance, "is there for a reason, Toph."

"Yadda, yadda. Now don't you have some porn to draw or something? Something a little more productive than perving on Cap'n and me?"

I opened my mouth to give my indignant retort, my finger in the air and ready to gesture wildly as I lectured, but it was too late, for--

"You know, this--" Toph waved her hand vaguely around her, referring to the new house and the vows of monogamy they had taken only hours before "--wasn't exactly easy. In fact, if I may say so, it was quite difficult."

"I'll say," laughed Sokka. "First there were my fangirls, then after you hit puberty your fanboys, then your parents didn't want you to be courted by a Water-Tribe peasant, and then you lost the wedding invitation list--"

"You mean YOU lost the wedding invitation list--"

"--Not to mention all the arguments we've gotten into--"

"--All of which I won--"

"--Well, I think it's safe to say we had a bumby ride."

"Yeah. The journey was long and it was annoying..."

"...But then you get to see what it's really about--the destination, right?"

"Well, we haven't arrived yet."

"We haven't?"

"No, we haven't."

"But...we're married and we have our own house and your Earthbending school is--"

"Well, we're not there yet because...it's not night."

"What? What does--oh. OH. Really?"

Toph said nothing. She merely grinned, and stood up on the tips of her toes, and kissed him.

They really were going to be together forever.

And she was just fine with that.</sup>

Yes, Toph has full control over the fourth wall. She is just that awesome. Don't mind me, I'm meant to be asleep, and writer-muse doesn't work past 9 PM.

I originally had an epic progression-pic with lots of awesome in it and then it died. And I decided I wanted to actually finish a Week, for once in my lifetime, and so I just uploaded the climax of the original progression-pic.

AND NOW I'VE FINISHED THE WEEK, HOORAY! We've had angst, snark, metaphors, comics, epic, fail, and everything in between and I FINISHED A WEEK!!!

Yay!!

Hmm...You know, art-wise, I think I'm...what do they call that thing people do when they get better? Oh yeah--IMPROVING. What do you think? *points at tonal range, lighting, and ridiculously over-realisticized hair due to the fact that I adore drawing shiny hair*

(Seriously, the prettiest lineart is their HAIR. Anyone see the irony here? Pretty hair lineart for two dark-haired characters? I can taste it.)
